    Our conditioning work through The Open continues. Today we are on the rower again but this time with barbell thrusters.  We can expect to see Thrusters in one of the upcoming Open WODs so use today’s program to to help you get ready!  😀 

    Note for today’s 4:45pm Class:

    It is posted on Zen Planner as “Open Gym”. Coach Terry will lead you through today’s program but he’ll be joining in with you too. 😀 

     

    Strength

    Pause Front Squat

    Build to a Heavy Single with a 3 second pause.

     

    WOD

    Engine Room

    5 Rounds

    Every 3 Minutes complete:
    300m/250m Row
    9 Thrusters (95/65)

    *rest with remaining time in each round.

    *choose a barbell weight allowing you to complete an unbroken set.

    *Score is your slowest round. Record time remaining on the clock.

    Felt good today – had more in the tank. Definitely could have went a bit heavier on the WOD and strength.

    Strength: worked up to 135# (tweeked something in shoulder blade?)

    WOD: @ 65#
    1:23 – slowest round which included re-threading the foot strap as I accidentally pulled it apart in a hurry to get to the thrusters 😮
